Looking for a cool new freshwater invertebrate for your aquarium? Then join PetSolutions as we show off our new selection of Freshwater Shrimp, including the Fire Red Shrimp. These shrimp, just like their Cherry Red and Fire Yellow counterparts are perfect in an aquarium planted with live plants, due to the nature of these shrimp to pick at and eat algae. They will spend a great deal of the day working their way through every piece of aquarium substrate and up and down every leaf and stem of each plant in the aquarium eating bits of algae and hunting for shrimp granules or other food added to their habitat by the aquarist. Fire red are selectively bred for a solid red color, and the color is fairly consistent from specimen to specimen.
